Privacy policy.

How TechPhil Pty Ltd (“TechPhil”, “we”) collects, uses and looks after personal information when you visit our website, contact us or book a call. We aim to handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.

Last updated 26 October 2026

What we collect

  • Details you give us in our forms: your name, business name, email and phone number, and your answers (for example what you need help with, roughly how much is overdue, or how you’d like to meet).
  • Booking details when you book a call: the time you choose and anything you add to the booking.
  • How you found us: the page you arrived on, the website that sent you, and campaign tags in the link (such as UTM tags and Meta’s click ID).
  • Technical details: your IP address, your browser type, and cookies set by the Meta Pixel (see “Cookies and advertising”).

How we use it

  • To reply to you and set up a meeting or call.
  • To prepare for that conversation, and to provide our services if you become a client.
  • To keep a record of enquiries, and to protect our forms from spam and abuse.
  • To measure which of our ads and pages work, so we spend our advertising budget well.

We don’t sell personal information.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run our website and business. Each receives only what it needs:

  • Supabase stores enquiries and bookings, in its Sydney data centre.
  • Vercel hosts this website.
  • Resend emails new enquiries to our team.
  • Cal.com runs our booking calendar.
  • Microsoft (Outlook and Teams) for email and video meetings.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our advertising.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and advertising

Our pages use the Meta Pixel, and our server sends matching events to Meta through its Conversions API. This lets us see when someone who clicked one of our ads sends an enquiry or books a call.

Before your name, email address and phone number are sent to Meta, they are turned into a scrambled code (hashed), which Meta uses only to match the event to an ad. Your IP address and browser details are sent with it.

You can control how Meta uses this information in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Keeping it safe

Information travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and is stored in a database that only our website’s server can read, with access limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as we need them to respond to you, work with you and meet our legal obligations. After that we delete or de-identify them. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email info@techphil.com.au and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Questions or complaints

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
